Our Three Sons

Paul is off in Venice; I am excited to join him in a few days! The boys are always so good when Paul is gone - it's like they know that Mommy can only take so much. :) They were looking so cute this morning that I had to take a picture as we headed off to church.

Caleb's Spring Program

Caleb had his big spring program at preschool on Thursday. It was really long for 4 year olds - about 45 minutes! They all did really well. Caleb had a part as a Noah's Ark man. He was awesome! It was a great day for him. I've edited the show for your viewing pleasure. :)

Snyder Park

We've had two days of perfect weather, so what does that mean? Playground! We are making the most of the sunshine before the rain comes back. Yesterday we went to one of the coolest parks around - Snyder Park, in Sherwood. The boys love this park because of the huge sand pit, trickling stream of water, and especially the fun playground structures. They aren't like anything else around! Jakey had a blast walking around everywhere. He'd plop down every now and then to take a break, try some bark dust, spit it out, and get up and walk off again. Silly boy.

Race for the Roses

We ran a half-marathon with Peggy last weekend. It was Peggy's first race and she did an awesome job! We had quite a New Vision contingent there, including Lee Lower, Greta Lee and Jennifer Lundgren. We convinced Jen to run with us and although she had only run up to six miles previously, she made it the whole way! Paul ran with us for the first few miles, but then it was just us three ladies. We had a great time talking and being a little silly (well, I guess I was the only one being silly!). Up next is the Helvetia Half in June!

A Wink and a smile

Paul taught Andy how to wink, and it's so cute and charming. He sure knows it, too. Whenever I start to get frustrated with him, he'll throw me a wink and a smile. Usually an "I love you" gets tossed in there as well. What am I supposed to do with that? This kid is good; really good.

The Sam

Paul is always shortening everyone's name (ie. Anna becomes "Ann", Joshua becomes "J", etc.) and he has decided to call Samchoon (that's what the boys call my brother) Sam. Sam as in, it rhymes with calm. Anyways, the boys have picked it up and I find it very funny that they call Josh "The Sam". He's only here for a short trip this time, to visit while my parents are here, but hopefully he'll be able to stay longer this summer. The boys sure enjoy having him here!
