Big Day!

Today was the end of the year ceremony/graduation for Jakey and Andy AND Andy's last T-ball game and end of the season party. Things got kind of crazy for us this evening! It started at 6pm, when we went to watch Andy play T-ball in the rain. At 630pm, Jakey and I left to go to the school ceremony. People, my boy was a STAR! They put him front and center. :)

They started of with the pledge of allegiance.

Then they sang "We Love Our Flag".

Then on to "The Wheels on the Bus".

Finally, a classic, Old MacDonald.

Then, the scary part. Each preschooler had to cross the stage when their name was called to get their certificate. You can see that Jakey wasn't too sure about it.

Fortunately, Miss Paula was there waiting for him.

After that, we rushed to Round Table to catch the tail end of Andy's pizza party and eat a quick dinner. He got a trophy and a doughnut!

Andy was really sad that he missed his graduation (even though we gave him the choice of which event he wanted to attend!) so we rushed back to church to see if anyone was still there. We were able to get his cap and gown (which he wouldn't put on), but Paul got the cap in the picture with Miss Kristin.

I have to say that Andy has enjoyed preschool with Miss Kristen IMMENSELY. He will cry at school because he feels sick but still tell her that he's okay because he doesn't want to leave. Is that love, or what? It will be very hard for us to say goodbye.

Jakey has been lucky enough to have two teachers to love on him everyday. We were able to get a picture with Miss Paula, but we will have to try to catch Miss Lisa later this week!

T-Ball!

We signed Andy up for T-ball this year, and he is so excited about it! His first practice was last week, and while he was a bit hesitant at first, he quickly got into it and enjoyed himself.

His first game is this weekend and I can't tell you how much he is looking foward to it!

Pajama Rama Day

Today was Pajama Rama Day at school. This is Jakey's favorite day because he gets to wear the cool Buzz Lightyear pajamas that Grandma found for him!

Andy's Teeth!

Today, when I went to pick the boys up from school, I had a nice surprise! Andy lost two teeth! They were very loose, but had been so for a few days. I guess he accidentally swallowed one during lunch, and Miss Debbee plucked the second one out. He looks so cute! Now I have two boys with lots of space in the front!

More Sun!

I'm really sorry, Peggy, but we have been enjoy such FANTASTIC weather! The boys pulled the T-ball the other day and had a blast!

New Bike

We finally got Andy a new bike. He really deserved one! It's amazing how fast he is now. I think he's really going to give Caleb a run for his money!

There Goes Another One!

Caleb lost his other front tooth! He says he feels like a vampire. :) It is very cute. What isn't cute is how he lost his tooth. He and Andy got into an arguement and Andy punched him! It wasn't very hard, but Caleb's tooth was VERY loose, so it was enough to punch it out and get a little bit bloody. Ordinarily, Caleb would be very angry but he was so excited to lose his tooth and have a cool story to share that he didn't seem to mind. When Paul and I went to visit Caleb for lunch later that week, all his friends were asking if Andy really punched Caleb's tooth out. I think he felt pretty cool about that!

Andy has two bottom teeth loose, so you can expect a picture of his first tooth out very soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We've been enjoying some very nice weather lately - perhaps Punxsutawney Phil was wrong this year? Anyways, we took full advantage on Sunday afternoon, riding bikes in the cul-de-sac, playing army men/Bakugan on the sidewalk, and a bit of T-ball with Camille.

Jakey has finally decided that he is ready for his tricycle. He's pretty good!

Here Comes the Tooth Fairy!

Caleb's two front teeth have been loose for a while now, and he this week he really began wiggling in earnest (he spent all his money on a toy this weekend and I think he was hard up for cash!).

He went to Miss Debbee's today with Andy and Jakey because of the holiday. When I went to go pick him up, he had quite a surprise for me! Apparently it just fell out when he wiggled it. Fortunately, all FOUR of his teeth that have come out have come out just that way. Nice and easy! He's got the most adorable smile now:

I expect the other one to go any day. Our boy is growing up! *sniff*

Why are they so cute?

I wonder all the time...

Valentines

Today the boys and I sat down to work on their class valentines. They were super excited about it! Caleb and Andy requested candy valentines and Jakey wanted Buzz Lightyear ones (big surprise). It was actually lots of fun - Caleb and Andy wrote and put together all of theirs, and Jakey separated all of his while I wrote the names.

A cute side story - Caleb has been mentioning a girl in his class, Sophie, quite a bit. As we were doing valentines, he found his favorite one (it says, "You're Awesome!") and put two heart stickers on it. For Sophie. No one else got heart stickers! I think I'm going to have to go check this girl out... :)

Kitchen Remodel

It's not completely done yet, but I wanted to share some pictures of our kitchen remodel. Honestly, it turned out better than I hoped. Paul and I love it so much that we don't mind cleaning it at all! I wonder how long that will last...

Here are some before pictures:

What do you think?

More Christmas

I'm getting behind here! This is another favorite Christmas tradition. Before we open presents and Grandma and Grandpa's, we play out the Christmas story. This year, Andy was Joseph.

Jakey was the shepherds.

Caleb was the wise men.

Fun had by all!

This last picture I just have to share because it's so rare to get a picture of Caleb laughing so joyfully. Uncle Michael and Aunt Becky got him the coolest gift: Snap Circuits. The first time he got music to play, he just burst into spontaneous laughter. I am so glad I was there to catch it!

Christmas!

Christmas day was a wonderful, relaxing time of opening presents and relaxing with family. The boys were nice enough to sleep in a bit, and at around 8AM we went down to start on the stockings. Some years we attempt to scale back on presents, but this was not one of those years. :) I could post many, many pictures of the boys opening presents, but I think we will focus on the highlights.

Caleb's favorite present was definitely his Lego set. He started working on it as soon as all the presents were opened.

Andy loved his new Tae Kwon Do uniform. He immediately changed into it and kept it on for the rest of the day. He even wore it to the airport, when we went to pick up Paul, Peggy and Zachary (their flight on Christmas eve was cancelled, they were stranded in Dallas and it took them 36 hours to get home!).

It's hard to say what Jakey's favorite present was. I think he really liked the act of opening presents more than anything! He was a little unsure at first, but caught on very quickly. He's been asking for presents everyday! He does enjoy the monster fort that he got, though.

Happy New Year
